Go Diego Go Great Dinosaur Rescue + Safari Rescue

Once I received Go Diego Go! Great Dinosaur Rescue & Safari Rescue I was eager to try it out. The two game set is designed to promote language skills, problem solving, memory skills, etc., among preschool age children.

The game was quick and easy to download to my PC and once I got started it was very easy to navigate. In the first game, Great Dinosaur and Rescue, players can choose between 6 “badges” or types of dinosaurs to learn about. They then pick a level of expertise to begin playing. Diego speaks in both Spanish and English, teaching children many Spanish words along the way. I did find it difficult to get back to the main menu once game play began and players must complete each mini game before a new one is available. There is also a lot of story telling and explaining which can be beneficial for preschoolers, but it may not hold their attention.

In the second game, Safari Rescue, players are greeted by Diego and Baby Jaguar. They are helping their friend Juma, the animal rescuer from Africa. There is also quite a lot of story telling in this game as well, but preschoolers interested in animals, and Diego, will find it very captivating.

Overall, this game seems very easy to play and preschoolers will enjoy playing as well as learning new things about all types of animals. I would recommend this game for preschool age children.

My 3-year-old boy could not wait to play the Great Dinosaur Rescue. It did not disappoint. We only played the beginner level as he is a bit young, but I thought it was great that there was a more advanced level that he could progress to over the year. Definitely adds more value to the game that he won’t outgrow in the course of a month or two. We are going to get the Wii version for his birthday – since he loves the DVD version so much, I know he really enjoy the Wii version.

My 3 and 4 year old love this game. There are lots of activities to do. Graphics are great, just like watching the TV show. Both Mac and pc versions on one disk. This game really helps get kids used to using the computer…

My boys love this game. Of course they do. The game has dinosaurs in it. I like it because the game moves them along though a journey. It has an activity. You do it a few times. It gets a little harder each time and moves on to another activity. They don’t have to go back to the main menus to start doing something else. The game moves along automatically.

We installed Go Diego Go Great Dinosaur Rescue and Safari Rescue in a matter of minutes and were able to get to play the game really quickly. It was easy to get started with simple straight forward directions on how to play. I sat down with my son who is two to play the game. Although, he is a little young for the game, he enjoyed listen and watching one of his favorite characters. As we went through the game I did notice that there was a little too much talking from the characters. My son didn’t seem to mind but it may be a little boring for someone a little older who just want to play it. All the games had great instructions and the visuals were really good, with great animations and bright colors. I can see my son learning how to use a computer and mouse by playing this game while also learning how to count, match and vocabulary. I do wish there was a little more Spanish in the games but overall, I think it is a fun, educational games that kids will love.
